This experience enabled me to develop myself. Indeed, leaving our comfort zone increases our personal development. Moreover, South African culture is educative thanks to its deep history and its incredible melting pot.

I had the idea of an autonomous watering system in order to match plants’ needs. This subject has been validated by the administration and I managed 2 years a 5 persons team that has won ECE Innov’ Award Public Price. 

This project combines technical aspects (Linux, C, SQL, PHP, HTML, Raspberry I/O) and scientific aspects (evapotranspiration by Penman Monteith.

This project has given me a lot of new skills such as team management, task distribution, marketing and design. We hope to go far with this project.

During this month I learnt a lot about this job which is really hard because of the timetable. I realised how important the hierarchy is in a company.

I worked for 4 summers on a farm. I find this to be an important opportunity in  order to be more open-minded. 

The work and the timetable weren’t regular, I worked 7 days a week.

I harvested wheat, barley and rape.

Furthermore, I did crop selection and managed a team of 3 labourers.

This job has inspired me to look for more opportunities to show my skill in team management as well as show more responsibility and hard work.
